Mental Health
As an elected councillor, one of my key priorities is to continue addressing the vital role of positive mental health messaging in our community’s well-being. By reducing stigma, raising awareness, and fostering open conversations in all settings—whether at home, work, or school—we can build a more supportive environment for everyone.
To achieve this, it’s essential to secure funding that will enable collaboration with mental health experts and organizations to develop evidence-based content. With the council's support, we are committed to delivering these crucial resources to ensure a more resilient, supportive, and mentally healthy community for all.
Community Development
Having grown up in Donnybrook, I’ve witnessed the city’s rapid growth, but I’ve also seen how our villages are losing their distinct identities as they become commuter routes. Neglected public spaces and struggling local businesses are eroding the unique heritage that makes these areas special.
As your councillor, I am committed to empowering our communities through thoughtful planning and collaboration. By investing in public spaces, supporting local businesses, and enhancing local services, we can preserve the character of our villages while promoting sustainable urban development. Together, we can protect our heritage and create an inclusive, vibrant city for future generations.
Housing
As your councillor, I am committed to supporting the government in its efforts to address the national housing challenges by prioritising the delivery of appropriate social and affordable housing. By collaborating with local authorities, experts, and residents, we can ensure that housing solutions are both inclusive and sustainable while preserving the character of our communities.
It’s essential that development not only focuses on affordability but also incorporates smart urban design—balancing aesthetics, green spaces, and minimal environmental impact. My aim is to work with government and stakeholders to ensure new housing enhances well-being, with recreational and community facilities that promote a sense of belonging for everyone.
Together, we can drive forward solutions that meet the housing needs of our community and ensure a fair and inclusive approach to urban growth.
