About Rory

Rory Hogan, at just 26 years old, is Fianna Fáil’s newly elected councillor for the Pembroke ward. A native of Donnybrook, Rory brings fresh ideas and a passionate commitment to revitalizing the community he’s proud to represent.

Rory’s journey has been one of dedication and service. A Donnybrook local and UCD alumnus with a degree in Economics, Politics, and Innovation, Rory’s passion for public service ignited during his time as a political assistant in Leinster House. Before that, he gained valuable experience working alongside Barry Andrews MEP.

Now serving as a councillor, Rory leverages his expertise, including his experience at a leading public relations firm, to advocate for the community. Combining political insight with communication skills, he is dedicated to delivering real results for Pembroke.

In his inaugural address as councillor, Rory reaffirmed his deep loyalty to Pembroke and Dublin City, outlining his commitment to increasing housing supply and making local villages more attractive to businesses. He also continues to champion policies such as more lenient commercial rates for start-ups in derelict spaces.

Rory’s work as councillor is guided by three core pillars:

  • Community development

  • Housing reform

  • Mental health support

He remains committed to representing the interests of the people of Pembroke, introducing fresh perspectives, and working tirelessly to create a brighter, more inclusive future for the community.
